Healthy HeartBeets

Beetroots contain nutrients that help with blood pressure reduction, heart disease prevention, endurance, and brain function. For brain health, beets assist by improving blood flow to the brain. HeartBeet Salad

4 c fresh baby spinach
2 oz goat cheese, optional
4 T raw walnuts, chopped
2 beets, peeled and cooked
1 T olive oil
1/2 T fresh lemon juice
1 t Mary-Ann's Herb Salt

When beets have cooled, slice into 1/4 inch slices and lay flat on a cutting board. Use a heart-shaped cookie cutter to shape beets. Toss remaining ingredients in a bowl and divide among two plates. Arrange beet slices on top. Enjoy! You can purchase her beets online, by clicking this link.

One cup of raw beets contains phosphorus, sodium, magnesium, calcium, iron, and potassium as well as vitamin A, niacin, folic acid, and biotin.
